Pride Month 2025
We will keep fighting - until we can finally build a society where everyone is free to be who they are. And that will certainly be something to celebrate.
Charlie is a former care worker who was born in Portsmouth and grew up in North End. Now, he is standing up for our city campaigning on the NHS, Southern Water, and cutting food and energy costs.
Charlie wants to take these issues to Parliament as Portsmouth's next Liberal Democrat MP.
He is working with our team of Liberal Democrat councillors to get things done for Portsmouth, and Charlie regularly helps people with fly tipping, housing and other local issues.
Charlie is the best person to represent Portsmouth in Parliament. He will hold the Labour government to account and stand up for Portsmouth against bad decisions that hurt our city, from cuts to local services to disastrous half-baked ideas like forcing Portsmouth to merge with other areas, or the doomed Aquind interconnector project.
Charlie is standing up for Portsmouth and Southsea, working hard for our city all year round. You can contact him at hello@charliemurphy.uk
Charlie and the Portsmouth Liberal Democrats depend on the support of our local community to champion our city and give it the strong voice it deserves.
If you could offer as little as an hour a month to support our work, please get in touch below. If you haven't much time, you could donate as little as £5 to help Charlie and the local Lib Dem team write to your neighbours.

We're proud that local bus services have got better over the past few years. In fact, buses are a real Pompey success story. One that reflects ambition from our Lib Dem-led Council, a practical focus on what really matters, and our city coming together.
Over 1,300 children from schools across Portsmouth enjoyed a special event with acclaimed author, actor, and comedian David Walliams to celebrate the launch of his latest book The World’s Worst Superheroes, thanks to council-backed Portsmouth Creates.
Lib Dem Justice Spokesperson Josh Babarinde wins for domestic abuse victims as the Labour government adopts Lib Dem campaign to formally recognise domestic abuse crimes in the law.
The D-Day Story and Portsmouth Museums retail team have won 'Shop of the Year' at the Museums + Heritage Awards for their 'remarkable' turnaround of the D-Day Story shop.
I'm proud of the work we're doing in Portsmouth to make life better for our neighbours, like our Lib Dem-led city council working with Southern Water to save £886,000 from the bills of people in our city who need the most support.
