The Lib Dem's Carer's Leave Act gives 2.4 million carers across the UK a right to take five days of leave per year, helping carers to better balance work and care. The law has been described by the charity Carers UK as a ‘landmark’ piece of legislation. It is a first step to providing the greater support unpaid carers need.

Lib Dems on Portsmouth City Council put our values into action to make sure Council staff were paid fairly, introducing the Living Wage for all employees.
