Despite calls from Hampshire's Lib Dem MPs, the Labour Government have not confirmed that elections in Portsmouth and Hampshire will go ahead in May 2026. While rumours of election cancellations swirl for county councils in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, we believe that Portsmouth should keep its elections.

Voters deserve their say in Portsmouth, so we are calling on the Government to let Portsmouth vote in May, with no delay to our 2026 City Elections.
