Bus Service Improvements for Portsmouth

Exciting News! Our Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) is taking a giant leap forward. After listening to residents, our Lib Dem-led Portsmouth City Council has secured funding to improve bus travel acros the city with simpler fares and expanded timetables.
The Simpler Fares initiative means you can enjoy more Free Fares weekends (that were very popular in 2023), discounts for under 19s, and the convenience of Tap on Tap off ticketing (now available on First Solent).
Timetable Improvements:
- Routes 1 and 3 will run every 10 minutes during the day.
- Routes 7/8 will run every 30 minutes.
- Routes 13/14 will run every 30 minutes into the evening.
- Route 18 will run every 30 minutes.
- Routes 2 and 23 will run 24/7 for your convenience.
Most importantly, our Lib Dem-led Portsmouth City Council has secured a RECORD amount of funding to support these positive changes and Keep Portsmouth Moving Forward!
