The popular Bike and eBike sharing scheme Beryl Bikes is set to expand across the with 26 locations allocated for docking stations.

The scheme originally rolled out in October 2022 to allow residents to hire bikes and ebikes for journeys around the city via it's app Breeze.

Councillor Lynne Stagg, Lib Dem Cabinet Member for Transportation said “As we face a global climate emergency, it’s more important than ever that our residents have access to more sustainable ways to travel. We want to make cycling as easy and accessible for as many of our residents as possible. Beryl Bikes by Breeze will not only help protect the natural environment but encourage people to get active and even save money at a time when fuel is so expensive”.

The 26 locations will be formally agreed next month with and additional 4 to be be determined.

This is great example of Lib Dem values in action, delivering for residents, protecting our enviroment and helping in a cost-of-living crisis.
