Your Fratton ward candidate in the May 6th local elections: Stuart Brown

Introducing your Fratton ward candidate in the May 6th local elections: Stuart Brown

"I'm Stuart Brown and I'm standing to be the new Lib Dem councillor for Fratton. I live on Fratton Road and work for a local community organisation that supports business, education, and community in the city.

I've been working with my colleagues to see real investment in Fratton Road, to make it a more attractive place for residents to come and shop. I'm really pleased that the Lib Dem run City Council has secured a grant of over £3m to buy the Bridge Centre near Asda to make this a much more welcoming area without all the empty shops.

Along with the Lib Dem councillors supporting local residents is at the heart of what I do. Whether it's getting rubbish removed from streets, getting residents parking zones for areas that want them, planting new trees at St Mary's.

I hope you will support me to be part of the Lib Dem team running the City Council in the Council Elections this spring.
