Save Our Green Space

We, the undersigned, call upon the planning committee to refuse the request to site a telecommunications mast within the green space on Devonshire Avenue.

The chosen site is one of the few green areas in the most densely populated ward in the city (and indeed the country). It has a well-established tree and seasonal bulbs that were planted for local residents to enjoy. The green island has also been identified as a wildflower area which will be planted next year and funding has been secured.

The proposed phone mast and associated cabinets will become a dominant feature impacting on the visual amenity and a loss of much valued community space.

Please reject this application and consider finding a more appropriate site in the city.
