Road Dedicated to Civil Servant

Michael Robinson was a dedicated civil servant at Portsmouth City Council.

Michael was the Parking Office Manager for many years and oversaw a department which had to deal with both councillors and the public every day. Michael was always courteous and professional. Unfortunately, Michael was lost in 2017 due to severe cancer and our thoughts will remain with his family.

To commemorate and celebrate Michael's life and dedication to public service, the city has named a road in his honour, Michael Robinson Way, and has also constructed a bench to mark his life with the appropriate inscription of "waiting limited to 1 hr, no return in 2 hrs. Blue badge holders exempt." (see image above).
