£26.4m funding secures next phase of active travel plans

Cabinet Member for Traffic & Transport Councillor Lynne Stagg briefed councillors today on significant funding to promote public transport and active travel in and around the city. SEHRT (South East Hampshire Rapid Transit) is committed to helping the emerging Portsmouth transport strategy by transforming public transport. This scheme is part of a network of rapid transit routes connecting Ryde, Gosport, Fareham, Waterlooville, Leigh Park & Havant with the centre of Portsmouth.
