Local Lib Dems have been out and about this weekend at different Community Christmas Fairs and Markets.
Speaking on Sunday, Councillor Ben Dowling, pictured above with the ladies from Jack and Jill Pre-School, commented: "It's been great being a part of local communities coming together ahead of the festive season. I was at Jack and Jill Pre-School and Little Spinnakers Pre-School yesterday and Eastney Community Centre today - helping out as Santa's assistant."
Councillor Suzy Horton, pictured below with part of the Love Southsea team, was meeting stall holders and residents at the Love Southsea market on Palmerston Road and the Etsy Market at Aspex Gallery. As well as the first big weekend of events ahead of Christmas, this weekend saw Small Business Saturday promoting the great local businesses we have in Portsmouth - keeping the city's economy going and providing those goods and services that big business will never be able to cater for.
Suzy said: "The local talent we have in the area in terms of independent traders. There's no end of choice with such great markets and market stall holders. I'm trying to buy all of my Christmas presents from local Portsmouth people/businesses this year."
