Born and raised here Richard Adair is putting his experience of 37 years policing to good work by campaigning to clean-up untidy streets and fly-tipping. Richard says, "It's an offence to litter streets, but too little is being done to prevent and deter those doing it," he adds "just out walking you can't help, but almost fall over fly-tipped sofas, fridges, freezers, rubble and all sorts of unwanted items and rubbish".
Richard recently helped get a dumped freezer, sofa and lots of bags cleared away reported in The News
Richard continues to keep an eye on our local streets. He is working with local local Lib Dem Councillors and campaigners to put pressure on those running the Council to pull their socks up and get on with making sure streets are kept clean and tidy, after all it's what everyone pays council tax towards.
