Milton & Eastney is a wonderful area of the city. I live here with my wife and it has been an enormous honour to represent our area on the council.
Over the last 4 years I have worked hard to try and make a real difference in Milton. Whether it’s securing money to improve the skate park in Milton Park, tackling fly-tipping, getting roads repaired or volunteering my time to run local events like Picnic on the Green.
But I need your vote to keep up this good work. If you re-elect me I will:
Continue fighting to stop over-development in Milton
I have been working hard with the Neighbourhood Forum, Keep Milton Green campaign and other local people to protect our green spaces from over-development, and to create a sustainable plan for the future of Milton.
Work to revitalise our local high street
Helping to run events like the Marvellous Milton Market, at Halloween, was just a small step in helping our local shops. I have fought to protect local facilities like our pubs and bank from closing and to find money to improve the parks and community centres, to bring more people into our local shopping area.
Campaign to protect our local services
I care passionately about the crucial services that look after the people of our city. I campaigned to protect support for victims of domestic violence in the city, and fought against the cuts to our local police, fire and health services.
I believe that Milton needs a councillor that listens to local people about the issues affecting them, cares about our local community and is competent – working hard to improve our area. I hope to be that councillor for Milton.
