Local residents and traders came together to arrange a community fun day this Halloween. The day took place along Milton Market (Eastney Road shops) including Beddow Library, Milton Village Hall, King & Son’s Butchers and Panini Junction towards the Northern end.
It was a really positive day with lots of people coming together to celebrate the local shops and enjoy the stalls and performances taking place in Eastney Community Centre. Local Lib Dem councillors Ben Dowling, Will Purvis and Gerald Vernon-Jackson were helping out throughout the day. Will commented: “It was great to help out. I spoke to lots of local residents who were having a really good time. All of the performances also helped to showcase some of the great things happening at the community centre."
Kimberley Barrett, one of the residents who organised the day said: "A huge thanks to everyone who helped at the Marvellous Milton Market and who came along! We hope you had fun and enjoyed yourselves and it was also a very successful day for traders so hopefully people will continue to support our local shops."
