The Annual Fratton May Fayre in the setting of historic St. Mary's Church was buzzing. Lots of stalls and 1000s local residents. Gerald Vernon-Jackson and Portsmouth Lib Dems were out in strength chatting with local people.
"It's a great atmosphere here today," commented Cllr Suzy Horton and Fratton Cllr Dave Ashmore agrees - he was there with his children enjoying the day. Cllr Steve Pitt had a good time: "The Fayre reflects the strength of our communities around here."
These local events and everyone mucking in are what makes Portsmouth's local communities and culture so strong.
Many thanks to local Lib Dem stalwart Margaret Foster for arranging the stall and for helping us make our local contribution to Fratton May Fayre.
