Councillors Jason Fazackarley and Leo Madden have been keen followers of the project from the start

The work for the Tipner regeneration project is zipping ahead, with the new Park and Ride scheme set to open on time and on budget in 2014.
The project will provide sustainable transport, for the increasing numbers of visitors to Portsmouth generated by a better city centre and seafront, as well as for commuters and people attending events in the city.
So often on a weekend, the traffic jams in and out of the city are huge, especially on football match days. The Park and Ride scheme will offer an alternative to going no where quickly. It leads on from the successful ‘Park and Sail’ scheme which operated from the International Port to Gunwharf Quays during the summer.
The regeneration will also see new homes and space for commercial premises being used.
