Have your say on how public money is spent

Cllr Steve Pitt, Deputy Leader of the Portsmouth City Council (Lib Dem - Central Southsea Ward) said: "We're really keen to find out how we can continue to work efficiently but also keen to hear from residents and businesses about the areas you think we need to be focusing on in the future."

Council representatives will be 'out and about' this week and next week to help residents give their views on spending priorities as part of a public consultation on the council's 2020-21 budget. Details are as follows:

Thursday 17 October - The Mountbatten Centre - 5.30pm-7.30pm

Friday 18 October - Morrisons Victory Retail Park - 10am-12pm

Saturday 19 October - Pyramids - 10am-12pm

Monday 21 October - Somerstown Hub Café - 10am-12pm

Tuesday 22 October - Tesco Fratton - 1pm-3pm

Portsmouth City Council still needs to make efficiencies and savings of £7.5m between 2020- 2023. Most of these saving can be made from further efficiencies and income generation and the council would like your views on these areas.

You can get involved by completing the survey by Monday 28 October 2019. Also online: PCC Budget Consultation
