Fencing Application Stopped

Local Lib Dem councillor Ben Dowling worked with residents to stop multiple fences being put up in the grounds around St James’ Hospital. Over 70 local residents wrote in to object to the planning application and 4 spoke alongside Ben at the Planning Committee Meeting. Thanks to local pressure, the Planning Committee turned down the application.

Ben commented: “I’m really pleased that the committee has chosen to listen to local people and the evidence provided. Putting fences up creates divisions which is not what Milton & Eastney are about. This means people can continue to enjoy walking through this area of the grounds."
