Baffins Christmas Market: A Great SUCCESS

The second Christmas Market on Tangier Road was a great success, with hundreds of people braving the rain and wind to join in the fun.

The market is organised by local community group LoveBaffins and is the brainchild of local Lib Dem councillor Lynne Stagg. It's inspired by the successful events in Albert Road.

This year saw several shops open up, along with stalls in local churches, bands, dancers and Santa's Grotto in the local library. Lynne and her Lib Dem colleague Darren Sanders repeated their successful 'Snow Woman and Elf' act from last year to encourage children to get into the spirit.

Darren said: "This is a fantastic event that celebrates the vibrant community in Baffins. We also know it boosts trade in the many small shops that exist here. It's great to get stuck in to help the community."
